Arista controls these releases. There's a big outstanding legal battle going
on over royalties that has curtailed any re-issues in North America (as
Bell/Arista sold 60 million albums worldwide and the band were never paid a
dime in royalties).
I've also investigated the Canadian-only release of "Ricochet" (aka "The
Brown Bag Album") which was released on Epic. SONY Music has told me that it
was a licensing deal involving the production company that recorded the
album....and the trail on these guys has gone cold :-(
And then there's the spin-off of stinker of an album that was the soundtrack
to the band's "Burning Rubber" movie in '85.....yeesh!
