Hey all,
I've put together a disc full of soft pop from the late 60's and early
70's. I'm listening to it at this very moment. As I've said before, much of
this music on this disc, I likely would not have discovered with out the
wealth of knowledge and taste to be found from individuals on this list.
I'll just give a collective thanks to you all again. Well, one quick
special thanks to my bud and one of the gurus of soft pop: Michael Barone
(Hey, Michael!). OK, OK, I'll stop gushing and get to the point...

As a simple way of saying thanks and mainly just for fun...

If you are curious about what I'm listening to and want to hear it, drop me
an email. I'll pick 10 people at random (that is, if more then 10 people are
interested) and send you a copy. If you win one, I ask two things of you.
One please be patient. It may take me a week or two to get them out.
Secondly, if you actually discover someone new from this CDr and it gets you
to explore them further, I'd love to hear about it (off list naturally).
But, even that is not a requirement. I am only offering this to those in the
US or Canada per added shipping costs.
If your still reading, you can simply look at the artists below and see
if this might intrigue you. I don't care if you know of all these artists or
have not heard of any of them. The key is if you think you might enjoy
hearing this music, that is admittedly on the softer side of pop. If so,
then shoot me an email with "soft pop" in the subject line. Sometime early
next week I'll email you off list if you've won.

The artists on the CDr:

Harpers Bizarre, Honeybus, Van Dyke Parks, Roger Nichols & A Small Circle of
Friends, Pearls Before Swine, Bill Fay, Orpheus, Eternity's Children, The
Tokens (Yes, that Tokens but from the album "Intercourse") , Phil Ochs,
Duncan Browne, Nirvana (no not THAT Nirvana), Johnny Rivers, Scott Walker,
The Hobbits, The Bee Gees, The Left Banke, Lee Hazlewood & Nancy Sinatra,
The Free Design, Spanky and Our Gang, The Robbs, Sagitarius, The
Association, Marmalade, Chuck and Mary Perrin and The Moon.

Best,
Steve "But that's not all, if you act in the next 30 minutes..." D.
