I would recommend you start with the Best of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick &
Tich on Spectrum Records, which has 18 tracks comprised of hits and other
faves. Repertoire has reissued the first three Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick
& Tich albums, with bonus tracks, and they're really good. I also have the
3 disc box, which is probably too excessive for anyone wanting to get a good
starting point.
You can find that "Best Of" on www.amazon.co.uk
One of my favorite memories of working for the infamous Norman Feinberg of
Infinite Records in NYC back in '79 was when we did record coventions and
this Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich collector would walk by. Feinberg
would yell "Hey, Dave Dee Dozy!" to get his attention, because he didn't
know the man's name.
Guess you had to be there...
