My old band, The Kelvins, did a version of "Hold Tight" back in New York
City. I remember listening to the single which our lead singer had and being
blown away by the fuzz guitar and the vocals. A great, great single. I used to
love performing it!

I love the rousing version of "Hold Tight" that appears as a hidden track on the self-titled 1996 album by the Liquor Giants. I especially like Ward Dotson's improvised line about "Moe, Shemp, and Larry Fine".

I'm all for cover versions that treat the original with a bit of irreverence, rather than regarding them as sacred musical artifacts from a lost civilization.
