The Anka set is not intended -- as I understand it -- to be some cornball
Shatner-before-he-met-Ben-Folds type of thing. The arrangements (if not the
song choices) are uniformly outstanding, and the performances are energetic
and mostly knowing (the "hey!" after the chorus in "Teen Spirit"
notwithstanding). Verve is gonna push the heck out it; I think it'll be
around for a bit.
