Minor correction ...
The band in the Sheraton ad was Convoy. They had a nice
Badfingeresque pop record called Black Licorice a few years ago. I
still play it from time to time.
Anyway, Convoy went kaput and the two main guys are now the core of
Louis XIV. That single is pretty irritating, but I'm a little curious
to hear the record based on how much I liked Convoy. Sadly (for me,
anyhow), Convoy really sucked live the one time I saw them. Though
they sounded great on record, those guys couldn't sing worth a damn in
the club. Any San Diego people have see them on better nights?
