Well, considering alt-country is ok by you... a very fit choice for,

would have to be "Tucson" by the Shakin' Apostles (from their "Tucson" cd
(opera-alt-country?) on the esd label). It's probably hard to find these
days but maybe the guys at ESD still have a few copies laying around
(http://www.noside.com/esd/), they do have a clearence sale on... (has been
going on for ages... I got my copies there, 'bout 6 or 7 years ago).
I have their 2 first cd's on ESD (s/t and Tucson)... Tucson is far
superior. I believe they went on releasing records on but never heard any...
