I've been using these for at least 2 years with no problem, and I researched
whether they had any credit card fraud beforehand. Just because they are
russian doesn't automatically mean they are going to rip you off. Just do a
little homework before giving a company your credit card. Also for me it's
not an issue whether the artist makes money here, as I own CDs of most
everything I download. It's just allofmp3.com is so cheap that we use it to
download stuff to add to our house mp3 server (squeezebox) instead of going
over to the CD rack and ripping a song. If we download songs we don't own,
and we end up liking them, then we always get the CD.

Also until itunes and the rest of them have reasonable rates for a song,
which for me would be .25 cents max with no copy protection, I have no
intention of supporting any of them. I've lost all my mp3s multiple times,
so I consider it a throwaway format, unless you are going to take great care
to backup every Mp3 you purchase in a way it can be easily restored.

Cheers,
Gary

don't know about allofmp3.com, but Mp3search.ru is a PIRATE/BOOTLEG site.
No artists make any money off any of the downloads. All my stuff is up
there and we'll never see a penny. They skirt around copyright laws with
some Russian legal system jargon that is unbelievable. I'd rather someone
swap files for free than give a penny to a site like that.

And geez...who gives their credit card info to a Russian site? There is no
protection whatsoever.
