Actually, there's a new Cheap Trick CD coming out on Big 3. It's looking
like a late `05/early `06 release.

After a week or so on the list, I get to delurk & answer a question :

"Question for Cheap Trick fans now - will the Steve Albini version of In
Color ever see the light of day? If it does, is it worth getting?

Bob"

Dunno if it'll see the light of day...its release was supposed to be
part
of CT's deal with Big 3 Records, but Rick's comments of late make it
sound
like the Big 3 deal is kaput.

I have a "unauthorized" copy, & it's a really good listen. And I'm not
even
much of an Albini fan. Basically, it has a really "live" sound - overall
it's much heavier & More raw than the 70's version. And there's a couple
of
different versions of songs from the album, like a MUCH slower version
of
"Oh Caroline".
