I saw them back in 1998, when they were called You Were Spiraling --
the highlight of the set was a cover of "Take On Me" where instead of
hitting the big falsetto note on the chorus, he just played it on a
keyboard.
I bought their first album and EP that night -- the album is quite
frustrating, because for some reason, it was mastered at an absurdly
low volume. Seriously, I have to turn the volume up almost all the
way to be able to hear it at all. It had to have been a mistake, they
can't have meant for it to sound like that.
