better solos. But hey, that's just my worthless opinion!
As for bum notes - I always love it when the vocals come in early on the
Mamas and the Papas tune. It's a cool hook and I'm not even sure it wasn't
on purpose. It was a pretty big hit btw. I've yet to hear the bass clunkers
that Lennon plays on Macca's tunes from the Get Back stuff. Mostly I think
he's just not a very good bassist. But speaking of bum bass notes, check out
I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better by the Byrds. Hillman misses a few there. Still
love the tune regardless.....
