I seem to recall my first memory of any kind where music was concerned was
"What's New Pussycat" by Tom Jones....that would have made me 2 years old
(!!)
But, it wasn't until I was 8 or 9 years old that I actually started paying
attention to songs on CHUM-AM.
My first 7" single purchase was "Ben" by Michael Jackson....my second was
"Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John and "This Is Your Song" by Don
Goodwin at the same time. From there on it was one 7" single purchase with
my allowance every week until I was 19....then albums became the norm.
