So, I was able to go to the Cliff Hillis show tonight, and I'm SO happy I did.

I met up with my husband and our friend from Tucson after work and we
walked over, so we got there a little early. The show started a
little after 7, and it was great!

Most of the stuff he played was off of the new album, but "Coming Out
Alive" from Be Seeing You was included too. It wasn't a terribly long
set, but then again, I wouldn't have minded if he played forever! The
band was really good too, I loved the harmonies and they had great
chemistry. It was really fun watching them.

One thing I noticed is that how on any given album, you are going to
have favorites and stand out tracks. The other tracks, sure you think
they are great too, but its just that they aren't your favorite.
Well, one thing I LOVE about seeing a live show is that every time,
without fail, those songs that aren't necessarily my favorites really
have something that makes them shine live and it makes you just
appreciate the song so much more. This show definately had those
moments, so now I guess every song on the album is my favorite! :)

Anyway, I had a fantastic time and I hope that you all will get a
chance to see him or at least pick up the album. I've been listening
to it a lot in the past month or two and it seems to get better with
every listen.

Also, Beth is very nice and I was so happy to meet her and talk to her
for a bit. :)

Stacy
