...1979 or 1980- I was visiting my grandmother's house in West Virginia , of all places- and she had
HBO. There was a show called "Video Jukebox," or something to that effect and I saw a performance
clip by the coolest band, I thought, ever. The clip was of three songs, "Dream Police, Way of the World
and Voices." Changed the way I thought about music ( I was eleven after all), and not surprisingly,
these are still 3 of my favorite songs.
...then again in 1990 when I picked up an LP sheerly because of the cool album cover- that album
was "Bellybutton," and it rescued me from the blackhole of music I was listening to , and performing at
the time.
...then I stumbled on notlame about 5 years ago, and my wallet and cd collection haven't been the
same since!
