I don't know many of the folks listed as playing, but
one stuck out for me: for any festival goers that dig
some slow popified country, a la Wilco or Centro-matic
or Dolly Varden or early Joe Henry or the song "Texas
is Beautiful" by Doleful Lions, be sure to add MILTON
MAPES to your schedule to check out, and then promptly
go buy "Westernaire". That album, along with Matt
Pond PA's "Emblems", got me through a strange and
difficult summer last year, by capturing what hurts
about the everyday in a most singular way. The sweet
little duet Silverbells, in particular, is worth the
price of admission.

In my opinion, naturellement. I would love to see
these guys live (the name, I believe, was one of their
grandpa's names) so since I can't, I require you all
to go and tell me about it.

Warning to Bob Hutton: These guys only RAWK
occasionally, so you might find yourself going off to
the bar for refills rather more than you'd like.
