I haven't read the list in a while and I was very happy to see all of the recent posts about Jim Boggia when I signed on today. I couldn't agree more with everything everyone says. Jim is an amazing guitarist, a very gifted songwriter and a truly unique talent. And he is a genuinely nice person. I have been a fan of his for many years and I consider him to be a friend.
Anyway, for those in Philly and NYC you should consider coming to his CD release party.
The Philly one is this Wednesday 5/4 at the World Cafe Live. The NYC party is Tuesday May 10th at Joe's Pub.
Jim's album comes out on May 3rd and in addition to the guest appearances mentioned before, it was produced by Julian Coryell, who is the guitarist in Aimee Mann's band and also an amazingly gifted musician and songwriter. By coincidence Aimee's new album, "the Forgotten Arm" also comes out on Tuesday.

P.S. I should mention that Aimee is doing a couple of in-store performances and signings this month....5/3 at Amoeba Records Hollywood and 5/19 at Virgin Records Union Square NYC.
