My favorite JJ has gotta be "Big World." Interesting that both he & TR did the "record an album in front of a live audience" thing but Todd was actually beaten to the punch this time. "Big World" came out circa 1986 whereas "2nd Wind" was released in 1991.
There's also a couple of "Best Of" JJ comps out there that serve as a nice beginning point but typically they don't do justice to the true essence of the artist's body of work.
I would love to catch this show and I'm tempted to go steppin' out to St. Louis next week-end.

Both the Joe Jackson releases you mentioned are essential. My very favorite
is "Body and Soul".I think you would enjoy that one.As far as I am concerned
that was the album where everything fell into place and Joe really advanced
his sound.Plus it has that terrific "Blue Note" cover. If you follow Elvis
Costello this is his "Imperial Bedroom."There are others I can recommend
,but do check that one out.
