All this talk of Tsar got me thinking of a band I really loved from that era, Sugarbomb. I did a quick search on half.com/ebay and found that not only is "Bully" out of print, but it's already becoming somewhat expensive. I guess it's good that they were liked well enough to engender such a fan base, but sad that the album is already so far out of print just a few years later.

Obviously "Bully" was a compromised album, with some touches that were distinctly nods to the modern rock scene at the time (a few tips of the hat to rap metal, mostly, though they're largely minor and forgivable), but it's one of my favorites.

So I happened to sail over to the itunes store, and I find a real gem! Not only do they still sell "Bully" for $9.99, but they ALSO sell Sugarbomb's VERY out of print independent release "Tastes Like Sugar" for only $9.99!!! Some, but not all, of these songs were re-recorded and recycled on "Bully", but the ones on the earlier album are different versions. This album is very rare and I know a lot of Auditeers had been looking for it, so I thought I'd give you all a heads-up.

And just a bit of editorializing: Making out-of-print or otherwise rare material available again is one of the BEST possible uses for digital download sites. I hope to see more of this in the future!
