Auditeers in the Philadelphia area may be interested in the following event we're putting on, Rock Town Hall's 2005 First Annual Meeting.

Rock Town Hall is a place to discuss - and debate - self-important topics in the world of rock 'n roll as we know it, love it, and hate it. As math teachers will say, it's not the answer but the steps you took in reaching the solution that are of interest. After years of conducting business in a virtual town hall, we will throw open actual doors for an actual session of Rock Town Hall.

The night could be great fun; it surely will be a spectacle, if we can help it, even if of trainwreck proportions. Some details follow. You can read more about it at the Groove Disques website. Thanks.

ROCK TOWN HALL COMES ALIVE! Saturday, April 30 @ The Parlor (1170 S. Broad St, near Federal, Philadelphia). Doors open at 8:00 pm; events begin at 8:45 sharp. Admission is $5; ages 21 and older.

The night will feature Scholarly Presentations and Panel Discussions on rock’s overlooked and taboo issues; opportunities for Getting to Know You; The Accuser’s Randomly Selected 45s vs Any Song Post-1981; The World’s Greatest EPs; and Live Music from Nixon’s Head, The Pearly Gates, The Knife & Fork Band, The Sour, and yes, more, including a Salute to Seger!
