Excellent! I'm glad you liked them!
I was the one who recommended them to the list. They are actually old
friends of mine from AZ and I was at the show (I was the Stacy who
will apparently pay for your telephone bill if the little change in
lyrics to the song they dedicated to me is to be believed!).
They really are fantastic and I'm so glad someone took me up on the
recommendation and went to the show! Next time, come say hi to me.
:)
I was trying to figure out how to classify them - exactly what kind of
music do they play? They list their influences as Jellyfish, Wilco,
Los Rodriguez, XTC, Aimee Mann, Pete Yorn, Bob Schneider, Bob Dylan,
Peter Gabriel, The Stooges, Men At Work, The Kinks, The Jayhawks,
Phillip Glass, Manu Chao, Wilco, The Jayhawks, Travis, Crowded House,
The Kinks, The Byrds
Their next shows are: Apr 23 2005 9:00P
Dream Away Becket, MA
Apr 29 2005 6:00P
TriBeCa Film Festival New York, NY
May 5 2005 8:00P
Joyous Lake Woodstock, NY
May 7 2005 10:30P
Valentine's Albany, NY
May 20 2005 9:30P
Rockwood Music Hall New York, NY
Jun 15 2005 9:30P
Grape Street Philadelphia, PA
And if anyone will be at any of the NYC shows, be sure and look for me
and come say hi.

It was indeed a good show: emminently likeable, good material, interesting arrangements. They stood in marked contrast to the guy that preceeded them ("Ben Wagner", I think?), who could not have been more mundane. From what I gleaned from the crowd, they're fronted by 2 cousins, have been around for a while, originally from Arizona, now based in Massachusetts.
