As much as I've loved their earlier records (they're also absolutely
my wife's favorite band at the moment), anybody else think the new
Decemberists is absolutely head and shoulders above what they've done
before?
The new Mountain Goats that's out next week is all kinds of awesome
(not to mention very much unlike anything John has done previously),
and it's a close #2, but as of right now, it's looking like PICARESQUE
may well end up being my favorite album of the year.
