In the "first" vein, Ben Folds Five did a live version of "Raindrops Keep
Fallin' on my Head." Al Green did a funky "Say a Little Prayer." Susannah
Hoffs did a creditably breathy, chanteuse-y take on "The Look of Love" for
the Austin Powers soundtrack. Oh, and so did Diana Krall, I guess. (Well,
not for Austin Powers...) Nothing too terribly interesting in all that, but
that's a few off the top.
In the "secondly" camp, Aimee Mann's self-professed homage á Bacharach, "It
Takes All Kinds".
