Ash - "Meltdown"
...although released last year in the UK, it's new domestically.

As far as best "official" for 2005 so far I'd pick The 22-20's - s/t
....this band draws primarily from British blues and R&B and dishes
it our full-barrel with their own brand of hypnotic psychedelia and
garage-rock trashiness.

Also...The Crimea's upcoming full-length shoud be phenominal:
