And I will say, it's absolutely worth hearing what Fiona and Jon Brion have
done, whatever Sony may think of its marketability.  I miss the guitars from
"When the Pawn...", and I do think that tunewise, the "When the Pawn..." had
more hooks and melodicism.  I'll add that in the wake of Nellie MacKay,
seems Fiona isn't the unique songstress I've long admired her to be.
"Extraordinary Machine" (in its current state) certainly takes Fiona much
closer to Nellie's territory, i.e. a street between Tin Pan Alley and
Hip-Hop Avenue.

All that said, I'd pay actual dollars for a non-virtual product of this
stuff.
