I joined up about a month ago - don't know what took me so long. I've
got a wish list that's already quite long - a feature my sieve/brain
really appreciates. I did download the new Josh Rouse, which placed me
in the odd predicament of liking it SO much I ended up buying the album
outright. I also downloaded Johan's "Pergola" from 2001 which is just
terrific.
I'm surprised that folks haven't mentioned the exclusive live material
that Emusic offers. They have a recent Grip Weeds show available for
download and I know I picked up an Archer Prewitt live set. And as
Michael Roux and others mentioned the whole world of Parasol is there
for the picking. If you're a Velvet Crush fan, there's a trove of stuff
there.
I'm not the biggest fan of 128 kps MP3 format, but for me I can listen
to something I might consider picking up on CD, decide if it's worth it,
and then triage onwards (dump, keep, want on CD).

n.p. v/a - The Trip presented by Saint Etienne (some truly amazing
obscure gems on this 2 CD set that folks here would like. Some that I
can find almost no additional info regarding. It's definitely not all
pop, but if you like Northern soul, Morricone soundtracks, 70's soul and
60's soft pop - this is remarkable mix. The one caveat is it's true to
it's DJ format and many of the tracks are cross-faded. Still as I said
- it's littered with terrific obscurities and the sound of vinyl can be
detected at various points - anyone else heard it..care to comment?).
