Strangely enough, my favorite C.Drifters' moment is also tied to "Anything."
Vicki and Peter did a really lovely duet on the tune. And as they sang, the
rest of the band headed back to the bar for a beer or two. As they were
wrapping up the tune, Peter yelled, "Would the Continental Drifters at the
bar bring back beers for the Continental Drifters on stage please?"
Someone, maybe Mark Walton, yelled back, "Whaddya want?"
And Peter and Vicki proceeded to place their orders.
Got to meet Peter after that show, and he's just a heck of a guy. I also
intereviewed Mark around the time of "Vermilion's" release, and he was just
a pleasure to talk to.
