Hey Scott, you're right about the hit potential of those other songs. I
think "Mexican Wine" is actually a better single than the one that hit. So I
don't what happened there. I'm just hoping the label gets its act together
and markets the next album better. If radio plays it, the people will like
it. And in this case, they'll be liking something good.

Hey, for their sake, I hope to God you're right. I'm not writing them off so
much as I'm saying that having one song make it from their scores of songs
that are so great is ironic. Really, is "Stacy's Mom" really all that much
more hit-worthy than "Radiation Vibe" or "Denise" or "Mexican Wine" or
"Troubled Times" or (fill in your own songs here)?
And because no one has ever gone broke underestimating the taste or
intelligence of the general public, I'm still willing to bet that "Stacy's
Mom" is the last FoW we'll ever hear on "Hot 97.7" or whatever. Sad but
true.
By the way, I think "Sick Day" is one of the greatest pop songs ever
written. Ever. If I were making the rules, I'd make everyone listen to it
every day of the work week until they "got it." But I'm not the person who
gets to make the rules about these things.
