I've been listening to a lot of the less famous music from this period,
and I'm especially interested on the type of artists and bands that
stand on a mixed territory, blending soft pop, psych, folk or prog. Most
of time tending to one of those styles more than others, sure, but
always keeping vocals and melodies close to what a pop/melodic rock fan
should enjoy. Stackridge, The Moon, Colours, Thorinshield, Andwella's
Dream, Barclay James Harvest, Big Lost Rainbow, Amazing Blondel,
Appletree Theatre, Chamaeleon Church, Mellow Candle, The Johnstons,
Duncan Browne, etc.
What else would you recommend me? More obscure stuff, that is not always
in our face. What I like should have melodic singing, and what I dislike
are long psych freak-outs, long instrumental prog suites, or too many
bluesy songs.
Names please, long lists of names, please!
Thanks for all,
Rafael.
