Probably the easiest means of meeting other Audities members at the various
IPOs is through host David Bash but an earlier suggestion of wearing badges
is a good idea.

I attended the final night of Nashville's IPO 2005. Every act was enjoyable
but The Grip Weeds were the high point, performing plenty of tracks from
their current (and best) CD GIANT ON THE BEACH. The band was in fiery rock
'n' roll form--Kurt Reil (who wrote/co-wrote the lion's share of tunes on
the latest), besides being a fine lead singer, is an incredible drummer--the
Keith Moon comparisons are right on the money. They closed with a killer
version of 'Shakin' All Over'. Truly a band's band.

My gripe is with the performers who chose to leave after playing their sets.
It would've been great if they (and their fans) had hung around and offered
support for the rest of the night's acts (as was the case with The Grip
Weeds, who closed the night and who ended up playing for a near-empty club).
I understand why John McMullan made an early retreat (a lawyer, he had a
court case early the next morning back in Kennett, Missouri) but come
on--with most of the other acts being from the area, what the hell else did
they have to do on a Tuesday night??

Great show, great fest, here's to David Bash.
