Aha! Sounds like a vision. I'll have to check that film out.
Also discovered Broken Social Scene through that movie: I've lost
track of the number of times I've played "Anthems for a 17-Year-Old
Girl" in the last six months. (Any word from the Canadian Contingent
on Feist's solo record? That *is* her singing on that song, right?
The credits are obscure.)
I think it's Emily Haines singing on "anthems", but I couldn't swear to
it.
Feist's newest solo record (there's a couple at least), Let it die is
wonderful, varied fare. Montreal loves her because of the record: she's
come back to town since its issue couple times to meet the performance
demand. And she gives a great show, so if you get the chance to see and
hear her live...
