"Song Cycle" when it was released, was talked about as an American
masterpiece.Similar to the respect that "Smile" is getting now[of course Van
Dyke wrote the lyrics].He was talked about as a genius and the next musical
star. That never happened. But it was much discussed. There is a distinct Randy
Newman/Nillson influence. It has been years since I've heard it, because my
turntable is not working. But you did well.It is definitely worth owning.
