I was going to mention some of this stuff myself, but it is so much easier to
cut and paste:
Fountains of Wayne will be taking part in "Comedy Love Call", a benefit for
autism education, at NYC's Beacon Theater on March 7th.
Also appearing are Jon Stewart, Adam Sandler, Conan O'Brien, Triumph The
Insult Comic Dog, Nellie McKay, cast members of Saturday Night Live, and many
others.
Fountains of Wayne will perform "Bus Stop" as The Hollies on the March 20th
episode of the NBC television show American Dreams.
Read the story and interview at rollingstone.com.
A new FoW song, "Tell Me What You Already Did", can be heard in the new
animated feature film ROBOTS, to be released in March. ROBOTS was created by Blue
Sky Studios, who also made the film Ice Age, and features the voices of Robin
Williams, Halle Berry, Ewan McGregor, Mel Brooks, Drew Carey and Greg Kinnear
.
The film will be released in IMAX and standard versions. The song will also
be available on the ROBOTS soundtrack album.
"In The Clear", the new album from IVY (which features FoW's Adam
Schlesinger, along with Dominique Durand and Andy Chase) will be released on March 1.
