Hi Everyone,
The IPO Chicago schedule is now up on the IPO Website at
http://www.internationalpopoverthrow.com/scheduleC05.htm I want to thank
Andrea Kremer very much for updating the IPO site in her usual timely
fashion. Please do check it out at your leisure. There are a lot of bands
playing this year I'm really excited about!
Speaking of exciting, the dates for this year's IPO Liverpool are May 26-30,
and there will be several new twists:
1. IPO Liverpool will be hosted by The Mathew Street festival, which means
that we will using not only the world famous Cavern Club, but the following
Mathew Street venues as well:
a. The Cavern Pub (directly across from The Cavern Club)
b. Mood Indigo (on the same site which once served as the home of another
legendary Liverpool club, Eric’s)
c. Lennon’s (I’m sure I don’t need to explain the origin of that name)
d. Flanagan’s
2. Each band will play two sets, one at The Cavern Club and another at one
of the other venues! These venues are all within short walking distance of
each other, so people will be able to check out all the shows at their
leisure.
3. Each show will be FREE OF CHARGE!
4. Music will go on all day on selected days, at selected venues.
5. Both The Cavern Club and The City Of Liverpool are going to put a lot of
energy behind this event, promoting it as one of the big yearly events in
Liverpool!
I probably won't have the actual schedule sorted out until early April, but
I will surely let you know when it's done.
I'm off to Nashville tomorrow for IPO, which starts on Wednesday!
