(subtitled: "But sometimes life is a bitch")

Waxing:

I just ordered received this *ahem* 5 CD set of Jimmy Webb's 70's output
direct from Rhino Handmade. And well now I have to concede my inept
stupidity at newfangled CD packaging. My copy APPEARS to only have 4 discs
(it's missing Disc 5), but more puzzling - there's no apparent place where
Disc 5 would reside. Discs 1-4 are all safely ensconced in little digipack
alcoves that unfold with the package. There's a tightly bound area where
there's a fold-out poster and a thick set of liner notes. Indeed this area
strikes me as fragile and I'm not sure I'm going to keep the liners there,
as the edges will be easily frayed by this less than outstanding design. My
point is, even if the 5th disc were included as a little slipcover thing (a
la Beach Boys "Good Vibrations" box) it could not have fit in that spot.
This package was sent direct from Rhino and I opened it myself - and have
NEVER seen a 5th disc. I'm hoping that someone else on this list picked up
this box - and might advise me if they (a) received all 5 discs, and if so,
(b) where was the 5th disc. Obviously I could end up feeling really stupid
if you point out the disc has been somehow in front of my eyes the whole
time. That's a risk I'm willing to take to complete this set. Any helpful
info can be passed along offlist and now feel free to get back to those mime
jokes.

Waning,

Craig
