The Todd thread got me thinking. Anybody go see a show and somebody canceled and the fill in was someone cool? I went to see The Smithereens with The Grays opening. I really wanted to see The Grays since it was not long after the CD came out. The Newport manager comes out and announces "I got good news and bad news." "The bad news is The Grays have canceled, but the good news is they are coming back next week to headline!" "We got a new act you might like who's debut record will be coming out soon their name is Weezer."
I remember thinking who is this Weezer, their pretty good. Never did get to see The Grays, they broke up that week.
