John M, Billy and Jim,
I hope to have a definitive answer soon. Scandal guitarist Keith Mack is
a friend, lives right here in Rehoboth Beach. All those guys are friends
with Johnny McEnroe, his wife Patty, etc.
Everyone's memories of the Amore-era songs being redone and finally
appearing on later Columbia releases are all spot on. We were really
pulling for the guys, and those redone singles were just a huge
dissapointment to those of us who SO loved the bite and drive of the
original versions. The guys blamed it on their producer at the time, as
I recall. They certainly caught enough s**t about it, I do know that!
