I KNEW IT!!!! I was just rising out of my prog-rock phase, when I found a
way to hook our TV cable up to my stereo and pull in WMMR in the center of
the state (Williamsport, to be exact). Was MMR playing the original about a
year and half before it the major-label version hit? For some reason, I
remember it being some kind of "screamer of the weak" or something. All I
really know is that when "Nervous Night" hit, I thought to myself "wow, it
really took a long time for that album to catch on because I heard that song
years ago."

Of course, all this was well before the World Wide Web, chat rooms, and all
the things that now help us stay much more in touch with What's Goin' On.

Anyway, it's OK to slag Nervous Night for being slick, but it still was a
really good album start-to-finish. Those songs held up well over the years.
