Another Hooters recollection...

I saw them open for Bryan Adams at Hampton Coliseum, when Adams was touring
behind "Into the Fire" (not the best tour to see him on, but I digress),
and, wow, I was floored by their performance, particularly their cover of
"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." They definitely had stage presence, and,
if you'd asked me at the time, I would've anticipated that they would've
been headlining their own tours of similar-sized venues before long. I was
sufficiently impressed with them to catch their performance when they
headlined the Boathouse in 1990...not exactly an arena, but they still put
on an incredible show. For years, I cited that concert as one of my
all-time faves, and, though it's been outranked by a lot of others over the
years, I still have fond memories of the band and the times I've seen
them...

Latah,

WiLL

P.S. Their song "Heaven Laughs," from "Zig Zag," is a track I'd like played
at my funeral. A morbid thought, perhaps, but the lyrics seem like the
perfect comforting gesture for such an occasion.
