Yes, I have fond memories of the early Hooters as well. I remember seeing
them open for The Stranglers (!) at Emerald City in Cherry Hill. However, I
wasn't much of a fan of the Stranglers...my friends and I went just see the
Hooters. And yes, I still have that Fighting on the Same Side single and
Amore. Those releases really captured the essence of the band. "Nervous
Night" sounded just a bit too produced and slick to my ears.
However, I do remember that the video for "And We Danced" from Nervous Night
was filmed at the old Exton Drive-In movie theater in Pennsylvania, about 5
miles from my parent's house. And the group's success did seem to bring a
certain amount of pride to the Philly area.
