I saw Bishop open for the Moody Blues at the Concord
Pavilion, a very good show, but that was probably for his 2nd LP. One
of these SOTTs, I'm gonna drop his "Sex Kittens Go to College" on my comp. A goofy tune and rockier than almost anything else he ever did (I know that's not saying much).

Michael giggles:

Yeah - great song! I've had Stephen as a guest three times in the past few years and guess what song I use to open the show? That song has always cracked me up. Stephen claims that we're the only people to play that song on the radio that he was aware of. I'm sure that there have been a number of college stations to play that nifty tune. I asked him if the song was inspired by Russ Myers film titles or something like that and he mentioned to me that the record company and producer couldn't figure out why he would spend so much money to record such a silly short song with major talents like Eric Clapton, Gary Brooker and Phil Collins. By all means, toss it on your next SOTT. Somewhere in the middle of our radio show page you will find a photo of this Audities geek with Mr. Bishop: http://www.THETIMEMACHINE.fm

Not exactly material you'd find on a Bonzo Dog Band album but "Sex Kittens Go To College" always puts a smile on my face.

Aloha,
