I'm drawing a blank when it comes to opening acts but I do remember Stephen Bishop (working his first album) opening for Fleetwood Mac's Rumours Tour.  Cool show!
 
My friend remembers The Hoodoo Gurus opening for The Bangles back in 1986.  He still talks about it to this day.
