I believe Ramis was only with the show for a season and a half. Guess he had
Chevy Chase's agent working for him [i.e. quit hit TV show in mid-flight].
Ramis's saving grace was that he went on to work in feature film as not only
an actor, but as writer and producer (Ghostbusters, anyone?).
Two or three years ago I attended a Psychoanalytic conference on the
psychology of mid-life to end of life "issues". Strangely enough, Ramis was
the keynote speaker! He spoke with great ease. He was both thoughtful and
yes, he was very funny. He lives in Chicago currently I believe.
The other agenda in taking that trip was Chicago IPO....
