I saw Blondie at the Village Gate circa 1977 right after the release of
their first album. (Gary Valentine was still in the group.) The opening act
was Alex Chilton's band, featuring Chris Stamey. Stamey performed "Summer
Sun," the single of which I went out bought a few days later.
On the other thread: for me SCTV was never the same after Harold Ramis left.
So I'm going way back when it was only a half hour show, I think.
