Forgot about my all-time favorite:

Waylon Jennings circa late 1973 opening for Kris Kristofferson,
who, knowing full well he wasn't worthy, repeatedly apologized for
the ordering himself! :> Another show where after 3 or 4 songs
by the headliner I headed home with a head full of wonderful
memories from the opener.

Fyi, this was shortly after Jennings releasing his incredible,
possibly best album, a collection of Billy Joe Shaver songs
called "Honky Tonk Heroes".
