Dont' know how many fans we have in the ranks, but thought I'd pass this along from the NME:
EDWYN COLLINS SERIOUSLY ILL
EDWYN COLLINS is seriously ill in hospital after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
The singer and guitarist was taken ill on Sunday night (February 20) and doctors are currently trying to stabilise his condition.
A statement from his management reads: "Edwyn Collins suffered a cerebral haemorrhage on Sunday night and has been in hospital since, where doctors are trying to stabilise his condition.
"As soon as we will have more information we will let you know."
Collins fronted Orange Juice - the art rock combo who have been a major influence on many of today's bands - from 1976 to 1985. He went on to enjoy solo success in 1995 with 'A Girl Like You'.
His most recent project was as producer on the debut album from Little Barrie.
