I luckily found out about these guys when I joined MySpace late last year,
and ordered the CD direct from them (before our esteemed Mr. Brodeen had
negotiated U.S. distribution, which I among many others urged him to set
into place). They are marvelous, and are led my Willie Dowling who
previously had bands such as Sugarplumfairies and (I think) Honeysnatch(?).
I was able to acquire some CD singles recently via their webmaster of the
group prior to them changing the name to Jackdaw4 from their previous
incarnation as The Celebrity Squares - they had 3 singles, two of which
feature songs from "Gramophone Logic" but the rest are otherwise unreleased,
aside from the marvelous song "Anyway" which was the theme song to a British
TV show (Armstrong & Miller on Channel 4). If you visit the Jackdaw4
website (www.jackdaw4.com) and ask Rob nicely, you too may be able to snag
copies of these additional goodies from the same team.
