1. Maroon 5 sounded only "eh," but it was awesome seeing Franz Ferdinand perform. It was also amusing for my wife to be stunned at their appearance, noting that she knew them "because you played them for me" but had no idea that they were big enough to warrant recognition by the Grammys.
2. Queen Latifah, thus far, is a snooze as a host and has no comedic timing for the "jokes" written for her.
3. I hate Hate HATE the scrolling-by notification of who won what earlier. I've missed almost all of them because they're going on while other things are happening on-screen. I can't imagine the winners appreciate it, either...
Looking forward to Green Day and U2...and wondering if Brian Wilson's advertised appearance involves a performance. Fingers crossed...
