Hi Everyone,
As you know, we normally hold IPO Presents on the second Saturday of each
month at Fais Do Do. Well, the good folks at that fine venue just couldn’t
wait until then, so we’re going to have IPO Presents this coming Saturday,
February 5! Not only that, but a genuine, bonafide pop music icon will be
in attendance and, possibly on stage! If you wanna know who it is, you’re
just gonna have to read on! Here’s the lineup:
8:45 Chuck Lindo: The main-man of the excellent American Professionals makes
his triumphant return after his most excellent show at last month’s IPO
Presents! On the American Professionals’ Faking It CD, you’ll hear some of
the catchiest power pop you’ve had the pleasure of hearing in a long while,
and Mr. Lindo is the consummate performer, peppering his excellent tunes

9:30 The Power Cords; This young Los Angeles quartet serves up infectious
confections of irresistably digestible sound, layered generously with
lovingly distorted guitars, tight harmonies, and beautiful little
serendipitous touches in songwriting and production. Think back to the days
when The Kinks, The Zombies and The Turtles ruled the airwaves, and marvel
at how The Power Cords so skillfully add a modern spin!

10:15 Maple Mars: Without question, the premier psychedelic pop band in Los
Angeles! If they never did anything but their debut CD, Welcome To Maple
Mars, we could have all been satisfied, but their latest disc, Circular

11:00 The Prix: Yet another great psychedelic rock band at IPO Presents!
The Prix have both the stage presence and chops that many bands would give
their left (insert needed body part here) to have! Blurb Magazine raves
"..If the PRIX's live set were any more explosive, one might be too
distracted to see the love in their eyes and the sweetness in their
cheeks...", and they ain’t lying! Their upcoming CD is being produced by
non other than the legendary Emitt Rhodes, who will be in attendance for
this show and, dare I say, *might* be coaxed into doing a song or two if you

Because we have four bands on this lineup rather than our usual five,
admission for this show has been reduced to $6!
