I think Def Leppard has had their moments, and while a
few of these only seem to have disaster written all
over them, there is some potential here.  One thing
that I find disappointing about so many covers records
is that the choices seem so uninspired -- as if an A &
R person only wanted the artist to do really well
known songs -- Def Leppard mixes in a few chestnuts --
Jobriath?  McGuinness Flint? A non-hit by Queen? A
deep cut by Bowie?  An E.L.O. cut also covered by
Bobby Sutliff & Mitch Easter?  V. cool.


The burning question is this: Why isn't Def Leppard covering Kate Bush's
"Hounds of Love"?
