Thanks Morley for coming!...Last night was incredible. Brennan's was packed,
including many Wilson family members and Beach Boys/Brian Wilson sidemen. It
was especially surreal to see Earle Mankey and Steve Refling side by side at
the mixing board.
The set list for the Carl/Dennis show was:
River Song
Moonshine
Angel Come Home
Got to Know The Woman
What's Wrong
Baby Blue
Time
Little Bird
Happy Birthday Marilyn (for Marilyn Wilson-Rutherford, who came straight from
her birthday party to the show)
Heaven
The Trader
Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again (the premiere of a previously unreleased
and unbootleged Dennis track from intended for Surf's Up)
Long Promised Road
Beach Boys' Stomp
Hold Me
Sounds of Free
All I Want To Do
Keepin' the Summer Alive
Forever
Celebrate the News
Meanwhile (from Alan Boyd's album)
Dance, Dance, Dance
For this gig Adam Marsland's Chaos Band was: Adam Marsland, Evie Sands, Alan
Boyd, Kurt Medlin, Teresa Cowles, John Perry and Eric Vesper. From Brian's
band, Probyn Gregory joined us on four songs and Nelson Bragg on one. The
Shambles closed the show and they totally rocked.
The band's been asked to perform at a private reception following the
dedication of the Beach Boys historic landmark in May. Needless to say, we're all
thrilled at that and with how the show went. Thanks to everyone who came!
